Description

Set in the stunning Algarve, this course combines demanding real-world sailing with focused shore-based training. You’ll build on your existing knowledge and refine the advanced skills required of an offshore skipper, including passage planning, coastal and offshore navigation, tidal calculations, collision regulations, meteorology, and skipper responsibility.
Training is hands-on and intensive. You’ll spend time both at sea and in the classroom, practising what matters most: chartwork, pilotage, watchkeeping, night sailing, and decision-making under realistic conditions. Our instructors place strong emphasis on seamanship, safety, and confidence—helping you think like a skipper, not just pass an exam.
The Algarve offers ideal conditions for offshore training, with varied coastlines, tidal planning challenges, busy traffic areas, and excellent opportunities for night passages. By the end of the course, you’ll be well prepared for the Yachtmaster Offshore exam and, more importantly, for real offshore sailing.
