The entrance to El Rompido is challenging, but once inside, the river’s hidden beauty is truly rewarding.

Guadiana River: Explore the serene and picturesque Guadiana River, sailing through calm waters that form the natural border between Portugal and Spain. Stop in charming riverside towns such as Alcoutim and Sanlúcar del Guadiana, practice navigation and pilotage, and take dinghy excursions to experience the local culture and hidden corners of the river.

Experiential Learning & Expedition Details

• Hands-On Sailing: You’ll actively participate in all aspects of running the vessel — from plotting the passage plan to handling sails — gaining real-world sailing experience.
• Small Groups: To ensure personalised attention and high-quality teaching, we limit our expeditions to a maximum of 3 students per yacht, guaranteeing privacy and an immersive learning environment.
• Duration: Expeditions typically last 3 to 7 days, allowing you to learn, practice, and explore at a relaxed pace.
• Vessel: Sail aboard our classic, Sparkman & Stephens Swan 411 with modern electronics for comfort and safety.
