If you’re looking for a truly next-level teen summer sailing camp, you’ve come to the right place. On the Algarve Cruising Center Teen Sailing Voyage, you won’t just learn to sail — you’ll live aboard a yacht while exploring the stunning south coast of Portugal.

This is far more than a typical sailing camp for teenagers. During your Algarve Cruising Center summer adventure, you’ll take the helm, learn real sailing skills, and discover extraordinary destinations that most sailors only dream about.

One unforgettable day will be dedicated to an exciting RIB (fast powerboat) adventure along the coastline, where you may spot dolphins and swim in the crystal-clear Atlantic waters. Along the way, you’ll also have the chance to visit Culatra Island and experience its authentic fishing community, enjoy kayaking and snorkelling excursions, and even relax with a movie night under the stars during our onboard cinema experience.

More than a camp, this is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure filled with freedom, friendship, and unforgettable memories.

Prerequisites

Some of our courses require some qualifications or previous experience from the candidate due to the nature the course. These are the pre-requirements to book and join this course:

Please note: This is an example of a weekly itinerary and is subject to change depending on weather conditions and tidal schedules.

Day 1
Check-in, safety briefing, day sailing, and swimming inside the beautiful Ria Formosa Natural Park. Return to Olhão Marina for the night.

Day 2
Day sail through the stunning Ria Formosa Natural Park. Lunch at anchor in front of Deserta Island, followed by sailing towards Faro. Overnight stay at anchor.

Day 3
RIB excursion along the coastline with the chance to spot dolphins. Picnic lunch at Culatra Island, followed by a beach clean-up activity, swimming in the ocean, and beach games. Return to the sailing boat and sail back to Olhão Marina.

Day 4
Sailing and snorkelling near Farol Beach, followed by kayaking activities. Sail back to Olhão and enjoy an onboard movie night.

Day 5
Visit local markets to buy fresh food while supporting the local circular economy. Lunch at the marina. Afternoon sailing and swimming session, followed by sunset and dinner at anchor. Night sail with marina entry after dark.

Day 6
Breakfast onboard followed by an early morning sail. Return to the marina for lunch, completion of logbooks, and farewells. Check-out after 15:00.
